1) Summary (Plain English)
- We collect: your email and license key to authenticate/identify your account.
- We process:
- We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
- You control when session data is exported/imported and you can delete local data any time.
2) Definitions
“Personal Data” means information that can identify you (such as email).
“Session Data” means browser data used to keep you logged in, such as cookies and site storage,
which the Extension can export/import at your request.
3) Data We Collect and Process
3.1 Personal Data We Collect
- Email address (used for account identification and support)
- License key (used to verify you are an authorized user)
3.2 Session Data We Process (User-Requested)
The Extension can extract and re-apply session information to help you reflect a browser session on another device. This may include:
- Cookies (may include authentication cookies)
- Site storage such as localStorage/sessionStorage (if you use features that export/import it)
- Basic device/extension diagnostics (error logs required to troubleshoot issues)
3.3 Usage / Diagnostics Data (Limited)
We may collect minimal diagnostic information needed to operate the service safely, such as timestamps of license checks, basic error messages, and extension version. We do not collect your full browsing history.
4) How We Use Data
- Authentication: verify your license key and associate it with your email.
- Core functionality: export/import session data only when you request it.
- Security: prevent abuse, detect fraudulent license use, and secure the extension.
- Support: respond to support requests and fix bugs.
5) Storage, Retention, and Deletion
5.1 Local Storage (On Your Browser)
The Extension may store your email, license status, and feature settings locally using Chrome extension storage. Session data is handled based on your actions (export/import).
5.2 Transfer Storage (If You Use “Send/Sync/Transfer” Features)
If the Extension includes a transfer mechanism to deliver session data to another device (for example via a relay server), then session data is transmitted only to complete that transfer and is retained for the shortest time needed to deliver it.
- Retention: session payloads are kept temporarily for delivery and then deleted automatically.
- Access: only you (or the device you authorize) can retrieve the transferred payload using your authentication.
If your implementation uses a backend, you should ensure the retention window is short (for example, hours not days) and that data is protected in transit and at rest.
5.3 How to Delete Data
- Local: you can remove extension data by uninstalling the Extension or clearing its storage in Chrome.
- Account/support deletion: you can email us to request deletion of account identifiers (email/license association).
6) Data Sharing
We do not sell Personal Data.
We may share data only in these cases:
- Service providers (only if needed to run licensing/authentication and infrastructure; bound by confidentiality).
- Legal requirements (if required by law or valid legal request).
- User-requested transfer (session data is shared only to the destination device/account you authorize).
7) Security
- We use secure transport (HTTPS/TLS) for network communication where applicable.
- We limit access to any backend systems to authorized personnel only.
- We aim to minimize stored data and keep retention short.
No system is 100% secure. Do not transfer sessions to untrusted devices and do not share your license key.
8) Why the Extension Requests Permissions
Session Loader may request permissions to read/write cookies or site data, and to access websites required for exporting/importing session details. These permissions are used only to provide the session transfer feature.
9) Children’s Privacy
The Extension is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
10) International Transfers
If you use features that involve sending data to servers or another device, the data may be processed in countries different from where you live. We take reasonable steps to protect the data during transfer.
10) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, provide notice within the Extension or on the website.
